Tesamorelin is a stabilised analogue of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) — modified to extend its half-life relative to native GHRH. It is one of the most studied GHRH-analogue research peptides and the only one of its class to have undergone regulatory approval in any jurisdiction (for HIV-associated lipodystrophy, in the US, under the brand name Egrifta).
